Controlled layering for new material behavior.

Lattice Lab studies how layer count, orientation, stacking order, twist angle, dielectric environment, and field conditions may influence transport, thermal behavior, plasmonics, superconducting states, and future device architectures.

Research Questions

  • How does interlayer coupling change transport behavior?
  • Which structures support useful field-tunable states?
  • How can plasmon confinement and propagation be controlled?
  • Which material and interface conditions preserve mobility?
  • Which architectures can be fabricated, measured, and reproduced?
